The Conference on Medical Student Education is geared specifically to medical educators who shape and inspire the next generation to be competent, dedicated, and passionate physicians for the future. A focus of this year’s conference will be “Inspiring Learners. We encourage faculty to support and mentor student and resident presentations and posters on the topic of family medicine education. We also encourage students, residents and clerkship coordinators to develop presentations targeted for their own groups.

CERA, the CAFM Educational Research Alliance , is now accepting proposals for research questions for the next member survey of family medicine residency program directors. This survey will be sent to program directors in August 2013.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the tornado victims, their families, the first responders, and our STFM members in the Oklahoma City Area. For those interested in helping, there are many resources taking donations, including local shelters and international organizations such as the Red Cross and the Salvation Army.
