Nominate Yourself or a Colleague for the STFM Board
Would you like to make an impact on the future directions of STFM and the discipline? Have you thought about serving as a leader within STFM? Each year, the Nominations Committee presents a slate of candidates for the officers who will lead STFM. The committee needs and welcomes your assistance, as a function of our member-driven organization, in identifying nominees for Board positions. For 2012, members will vote for the offices of President-elect (3-year term), Secretary-Treasurer (2-year term), and Member-at-Large (3-year term). Review this
short list of desired traits of potential Board members and then consider
nominating
yourself or others today.

Expect Improved Communications
You told us in the recent member needs survey that you wanted STFM to be a primary source of information for you. So, we’ve got some work to do. As a start, we’re doing a communications audit to review what we’re doing and how you want information delivered to you. You can expect to see changes in how and what we communicate to you about STFM and the discipline. A regular column from me is one change.
