Family Medicine Pipeline Initiatives

Work continues with this initiative through a collaborative relationship with the National AHEC Organization as well as a campaign to inspire members to talk to young patients about considering a career in family medicine.

Members of the Group on Family Medicine Pipeline worked with the National AHEC Organization to create these posters for display in family medicine practices and residency clinics.

Resource Materials on Patient Confidentiality, Privacy, and HIPAA rules for Student Shadowing

STFM and the AAFP have developed resource materials for members to introduce issues of patient confidentiality, privacy, and HIPAA rules to prospective health care students who are invited to shadow in their offices.
