The purpose of the Group on Global Health is to promote 1) the understanding and teaching of family medicine throughout the world, 2) the training of family physicians able to address health care needs in their communities in various countries, and 3) the spirit of cooperation in international exchange for the mutual development of all participants. The main activities of the group are to provide an opportunity for family medicine educators with interests and professional activity related to our stated purpose to network, and to arrange a forum for dissemination of related endeavors at the STFM Annual Spring Conference.
