The Group on Evidence-based Medicine provides a forum for members to develop and disseminate materials for obtaining skills to practice and teach evidence-based medicine. The concepts of evidence-based medicine are used to guide clinical practice, education, and research to obtain and preferentially use patient-oriented evidence that matters. Our highest priority will be that all family medicine residencies teach a comprehensive curriculum on evidence-based medicine, and all faculty incorporate the principles of critical thinking into their clinical practice, teaching, and research.
