Addictions

This group promotes education in substance in family medicine residencies and promotes the prevention, recognition, and treatment of substance use disorders in model units. Goals are to 1) provide education materials on addiction on the STFM Web site, 2) provide links to educational material on addictions and other diseases on STFM Web site, 3) encourage presentations on addictions, and 4) help connect residency programs with educational and financial resources of federal agencies that are involved in substance use issues.
