Abortion Training & Access
The Group on Abortion Training and Access helps to enhance and expand abortion and family planning education in family medicine by (1) expanding a network of family medicine educators who offer abortion training in their residency programs, (2) sharing and evaluating a curriculum that family medicine faculty can use to integrate abortion training in their residency programs, and (3) encouraging the network of family medicine educators to collaborate to evaluate the process and outcomes of the integration of this curriculum

Stacy Brungardt, CAE
After 14 years of serving STFM in various roles, Stacy Brungardt became STFM executive director on October 1, 2007. Stacy now manages the day-to-day activities of STFM, oversees all fiscal matters, and works closely with the president and the Board of Directors. She facilitates the operations of task forces, groups, and special committees and represents STFM to outside organizations, including serving as a representative on the Council of Academic Family Medicine and on the corporate Board of the Annals of Family Medicine. As of May 3, 2008, Stacy will serve as executive director of the STFM Foundation.
