Society of Teachers of Family Medicine

At the Conference on Practice Improvement, you’ll learn to organize your practice around your patients, streamline processes, engage staff, increase revenue, and provide consistent, evidence-based care. You’ll learn from those who know best – primary care providers, researchers, and practice staff who have redesigned their practices into Patient-centered Medical Homes.

The conference is sponsored by the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine and the American Academy of Family Physicians.

Chair's Message

Rebecca Malouin, PhD, MPH
2012 Conference Chair

The landscape of health care is transforming at an unprecedented rate. Primary care, as the foundation of the health care system, is at the forefront of this transformation. The Conference on Practice Improvement will engage participants through discussions about this changing health care landscape, provide steps to redesign a practice to remain strong within the new environment, and redesign examples from private practice, academic practice, and public clinics.

It is a wonderful, intimate venue to share and learn best practices in practice improvement with colleagues. In addition to formal workshops and lectures, conference attendees are provided ample informal networking opportunities through special interest breakfasts, dine-outs, and receptions. We look forward to seeing you and your team in South Carolina this fall!
