Past workshop offerings have been reviewed and approved for 7 Prescribed hours by the American Academy of Family Physicians. AAFP Prescribed credit is accepted by the AMA as equivalent to AMA PRA Category 1 for the AMA Physician's Recognition Award. When applying for the AMA PRA, Prescribed hours earned must be reported as Prescribed hours, not as Category 1. Credit will be requested for all future workshop offerings except at the National Conference of Family Practice Residents and Medical Students due to its audience being primarily students and residents.
The audience will be limited to 25 physician and other family medicine faculty participants to maximize small group interaction and exercises. Paid registrations (in writing only) will be accepted for these limited slots on a first-come, first-served basis. To accommodate as many programs as possible, a maximum of two new or entry-level faculty members per institution may register for the same course session.
$195 per full-day workshop; $100 per half-day workshop (Workshop participants also need to register for the accompanying conference and pay appropriate fees)
