STFM Advocate Award

Designed to recognize excellence in the field of political advocacy, the STFM Advocate Award honors a member(s) for outstanding work in political advocacy at the local, state, or national level. The recipient's efforts are not restricted to legislative work but cannot be solely individual patient advocacy.

Along with supporting STFM's goals and mission, the Legislative Affairs Committee will rate each candidate on (1) successful progress toward the achievement of advocate’s goals with clear articulation of advocacy plan and actions, (2) innovativeness of program or activity, (3) generalizability of the project or process, (4) sustained impact on local, state or national arena, and (5) documentation that advocate's work inspired others to work for advocate's mission or to develop their own.

The recipient(s) of this award will be honored during STFM's Annual Spring Conference in Baltimore, MD, April 30 - May 4, 2008.
