Free Online Advocacy Course
Take this free course and learn to educate legislators on the value of primary care, and encourage them to support expansion of a well-trained family medicine workforce.
This course, which takes less than an hour to complete, provides skills and practical strategies for advocating and promoting the value of family medicine.

STFM’s free, interactive advocacy course includes modules on:

- Navigating Congress
- Preparing for and Conducting a Hill Visit
- Continuing the Relationship
The course takes less than an hour to complete. Each module includes a brief exam to evaluate comprehension.

Make the course a part of your curriculum
Encourage your residents or students to become advocates. You can use the course in didactic presentations, or have residents/students complete the modules on their own. If you enroll as a program, you can get a report showing who completed the course and the percentage of questions each learner answered correctly.
