New Task Force to Plan STFM 50th Anniversary

June 26, 2015—STFM has named a new task force to prioritize and coordinate the celebration activities for STFM’s 50th anniversary in 2017. The task force is planning a yearlong celebration that will be relevant to both senior faculty who have been significantly invested in STFM as well as new faculty who are just getting to know STFM.

Joseph Scherger, MD, MPH, chairs the 50th Anniversary Task Force. He is a past president of STFM and serves as an assistant editor of Family Medicine. Dr Scherger is the vice president of Primary Care and Academic Affairs at Eisenhower Medical Center in Rancho Mirage, CA. He has also served on the Board of Directors of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the American Board of Family Medicine.
