STFM Seeks Residency Faculty Fundamentals Instructor

June 12, 2018—The Society of Teachers of Family Medicine is now accepting applications for a Residency Faculty Fundamentals instructor. The Residency Faculty Fundamentals Certificate Program is an assessment-based online program that includes self-led courses with assignments to provide foundational training for residency faculty.

The instructor provides timely feedback on assignments submitted by program participants.The position is a 3-year term, with the option to serve for an additional 3-year period. The position includes a $1,000 honorarium per year.


The applicant must:
  • Be (or have recently been) faculty in a family medicine residency program
  • Have expertise in billing and documentation requirements, recruiting and interviewing residents, scholarly activity, curriculum development, didactic teaching, and giving feedback
  • Be available for an estimated time commitment of 10 hours per month


Submit a letter of interest with qualifications (2 pages max) to Brian Hischier ( by July 15. Include your name, degrees, job title, and program/institution name.
