Call for Fellows, Residents, Students Works-in-Progress Research Posters

STFM offers an opportunity for family medicine fellows, residents, and students to display works-in-progress at the STFM Annual Spring Conference in Washington DC, May 5-9, 2018.

The STFM Research Committee has reserved a limited number of poster boards for clinical or academic fellows/residents/students to display research projects currently in progress. This opportunity allows the fellow/resident/student to get feedback from experienced researchers, peers, and others interested in his/her area of research.

An experienced research mentor should review the project with the fellow/resident/student before submitting. This guidance will help enhance the quality of the submission. The Research Committee has created a short video with some helpful tips to strengthen the research proposal.

The submission process will require an abstract (2500 characters) containing the purpose, methods, results, and conclusion of the project to be reviewed by the Research Committee. Read the Tips to Improve Your Abstract (PDF) before you submit.

Submissions are accepted online and are due Thursday, January 4, 2018.

If you have any questions, please contact Melissa Abuel, STFM Project Manager and Research Committee liaison, at mabuel@stfm.org or 800-274-7928, ext 5404.
