Scholarships and Grants
  • The New Faculty Advocacy Scholarship provides those within their first 5 years as faculty with hands-on advocacy experience at the Family Medicine Advocacy Summit in Washington, DC.
  • The New Faculty Scholars Program is part of the Foundation's initiative to develop leaders in our discipline. This award gives 10 new faculty members up to $1,000 to help cover travel and hotel expenses for attendance at the STFM Annual Spring Conference. Additional scholarships are available for underrepresented in medicine faculty applicants.
  • The Faculty for Tomorrow Resident Scholarship provides 15 residents with $750 each to cover travel, accommodations, and registration costs to attend the Faculty for Tomorrow Preconference Workshop at the STFM Annual Spring Conference. Additional scholarships are available for underrepresented in medicine resident applicants.
  • The H. Winter Griffith Resident Scholarship for Excellence in Practice Improvement and Patient-Centered Care recognizes excellence in practice improvement involving patient-centered care by an outstanding family medicine resident or resident team. The winning resident or team receives a $1,000 scholarship and free registration to the Conference on Practice Improvement
  • The STFM Foundation Student Scholarships for the Conference on Medical Student Education recognize the passion for family medicine and teaching in students. Additional scholarships are available for underrepresented in medicine students. Recipients of the award are named STFM Foundation Student Scholars and present their poster at the STFM Conference on Medical Student Education. Each scholar receives free registration to the conference and a $500 award to cover travel costs.
